I've searched through all these threads, but I have not found any solutions that fixes my problem.

Whenever I turn on my computer, it goes through the normal loading screens, the windows XP startup, then the revolving bar screen. After this screen, when it should go to the enter password screen, it instead looks like it went into hibernation mode, with the darkened black screen.

This doesn't seem to be the case though, I enter my password at this black screen and hit enter...low and behold, i hear the windows startup jingle, like I entered windows normally.

Anybody know whats up?

Could it be going into LCD mode? There is a key sequence to go from laptop only to laptop and lcd to lcd only...(it's FN and F7 or so)
