Hello,

I have an IBM T21 laptop. My hard drive failed so I had to reinstall everying on a new drive. I would have used the recovery CD supplied with the laptop, but I can';t seem to find. Therefore, I had to reinstall the OS and drivers manually. Everything went fine except the video driver. When I installed the video driver, the screen went blank right after the Windows 2000 splash screen. I was able to boot to safe mode and remove the driver, but now the video sucks (W2K default drivers). I obtained the driver from IBM's website. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, I have three suggestions for you.

1. Here is the current driver I found on IBM's website for the driver: I currently use a T21 and this is my current driver.

2. After the system boots and the screen blacks out, try to hit the 'FN' key and the F7 key. I wonder if your display is defaulting to the monitor port instead of your LCD.

3. Another driver that may be needed:
a. 'Monitor' Driver
