I am helping a friend who had a SurePOS break down at his fledgling restaurant. I took advantage of the situation to take it apart and reassemble it, computers being a passion of mine.

I don't have the exact model number, but will get it if need be. I think it's in the 4840 series? It's their basic model, essentially a dark grey post with an adjustable-position touch display on top. The hard drive is behind a front panel on the post.

I'm having trouble re-affixing the rear panel that has all the ports and jacks on it. It plugs into two wide female ports. Once in place, you tighten down two odd little pieces of metal with two built-in screws. the panel sits in the vertical center of the post, with the power supply below and fan above.

The panel in question, I can't tighten it. I've got it connected but it's wobbly. It can easily be pulled loose from those black ports it plugs into. Any advice on how this is supposed to fit tightly? Have I re-assembled these pieces in the wrong order, perhaps?

you most likely have a 521 thru 532 models. the 521 has 4 little blue buttons under the display. the 531-532 series have 2 blue buttons under the lcd screen. the 532 series has the keyboard port under the lcd screen, to where the 531-521's have the keyboard port on the back where the base is. Im not making out on how your assembling the terminal but it should have a grey base. Then you screw the frame of the terminal to the grey base. The frame consist of the the ports for the board on one end, and the power supply on the other.
the rear is pretty much self explanatory to setup.

here is a pic i found from ebay on how the back should look like.

This doesn't look like it. I'll take some pics and get the model number next time I'm able to look at it. Thank you for searching for this.

the front looks like the terminals i work with and which i explained in the previous replies. but the back looks as if there is a frame or bracket missing so not to sure what that is.

throw in some side view pics and also there might be serial numbers on the side that says what series it is.

I will take more pics. Thanks!

It's that middle part, it wiggles no matter how much I tighten those side bracket/screws.

I was hoping to fix this first but I will go ahead and post the other problem I'm having with this unit in a separate thread.

That is definitely how the back panel looks. Now if i could just figure out how to tighten it down!

Actually may be premature but I think I got it. It was just a matter of putting that piece back in first and the other parts in afterward. Duh. Thanks for the help.
