We are getting our first IBM Shark (2105 disk) with both ESCON and SCSI adapters. What is the best way to access data stored via ESCON (z/OS) from the SCSI (LAN) side? I heard that Hitachi has a new Mainframe FIle System (MFS) that can access QSAM files from a Linux machine but cannot find any info on that. We only need to be able to read the data from the SCSI (LAN) side. We use both NT and Windows 2000 on our LAN servers. RonJL.
