IBM OpenPower
IBM System P5 510 Express

Thks!!

hi,
it as strange (wide) question.

System X ( x86 based machine Intel/AMD) support SMBIOS
What you have to check, is for a single Type-Model, which
level of smbios is supported for a given (downloadable)
BIOs Level.
The following link is an example of IBM\systemx\235
BIOS downloading page.

You should enter more precise Type & Model (probably of
machines you have), and see in history bios changes,
supported smbios level.

For pSeries, I believe IBM does not take in consideration
(also for Linux ready machine) these standards.

Hi, thanks for your time...

well, the question is for the following:

I'm doing a Capacity Planner (CP), an i have some IBM servers models (up listed) with Linux RHE 4 64 bits/32bits and AIX, this software collect harware info (Hardware Inventory) executing commands, as dmidecode, but this command collects information connecting on to SMBIOS.

This 64 bits models have SMBIOS? (i think not):

IBM OpenPower models
IBM System P5 510 Express

This models, i think yes, because they are x86 architecture, but i'm not sure, if they have SMBIOS:

IBM xSeries 235
System x3350
Bladecenter HS21

Thanks for your opinions!!
