Hello all,

I have an RS/6000 44P model 170 and I have just added a second SCSI HDD and I get the following error:

E0E1

I have AIX installed and running on the original hdd and it works no problem, if I remove the second HDD it boots up fine.

Sometime I can get the machine booted and the disk appears in smitty as available. Most times I just get the error.

Does anyone know what this error refers to?

Thanks,

Rob

Hi

Did you find out what was causing your error?

Was it processor related by any chance?

Nick.

Hello,

No its not procesor related. Its to do with the SCSI devices and the detection phase of the IBM . I think I changed the SCSI device to another conector on the SCSI cable and it worked.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

Rob
