IBM robotic library and Backup Exec. 12 .. won't go to next tape

I have got a backup we run monthly and it needs more then one tape. They guys watching it have missed it for first couple times .. I came in and got it going Sunday and it was running fine. Came in Monday morning and it was sitting at a que state after getting about 400 gig on a LTO 3 tape. Said no appendable media found. I answered the message and it would just keep coming back.

When we load the tapes we do a inventory and a quick erase on all tapes and I had two in there.

It is a IBM Robotic library that can handle 15 tapes. I have the Backup Exec. library expansion option license.

Help as to what I am missing?
