Hey,
Was wondering if anyone else might have come across this. We are running and AS/400 V4R4 with the clients and a laser printer running on TCP/IP and some other dumb terminals and the rest of our printers running on Twinaxial connections.
Just about every day the big printers on Twinax don't want to wake up from sleep mode with a job running in the queue to print. The only way to fix it is to put the printer offline and then act as if I'm resetting the page. Then it "wakes up" and the printer works and processes the job.
Sometimes, if I wait too long to get it back up again, the printer actually loses communication completely and I have to power it off and back on again for the server to see it.
This only happened after I put on the TCP/IP software (from Better Online Solutions --
Anyone else get problems like this or know an answer to my dilemma?
Thanks in advance.
