I have a Netvista X40i model 2179-71U and run Windows ME (that came pre-loaded). The X40i, for those who don't know, is an all-in-one machine (CPU behind the screen).
My screen has suddenly blacked out (had not made any changes prior to this). I can sense disk activity and can even hear the Windows start-up sounds.
All I can see is a brief (1/10 sec) flicker of the screen when the IBM logo comes on when i power on the machine.
Is this a hardware or software issue--how can one tell? What can I do to diagnose or, better still, reactivate the screen?
