IBM Netvista Model M2A does not boot from CD Drive 1

I bought a netvista model M2A at an auction. It has a PIII 733Mhz CPU, and 10GB HDD. It had no CD Drive. I installed a Asus CD-RW Burner with the hope of installing windows 2000. But the machine will not boot from my windows 2000 installation CD. However, I have a diags floopy disk, PC-Check, and it does boot up from that floppy and proceed to run the diag software on it. How an I get this system to boot from the CD Drive? In the setup and configuration there is no boot sequence set up???? HELP ME PLEASE !!!!!!

You need to make the win2k boot disk. Here is a link that explains how:

M2A isn't the model number. It is the family of mobo's used by Netvista. There should be a 4 digit model number. Find this number and do a Google search to get the manual for this system.
