Hi,

I have an IBM Netfinity 5500 with a 6 disk raid array. What I want to do it use the 6 SCA drives as 6 logical drives under Windows (i.e. F: G: H: etc). The server currently boots from an IDE and has no problems running Windows. The best I've got out of it is to have the first two SCA drives combined as one, which isn't what I want for this particular application.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

I'm still scratching my head as to why you would want to do this...Assuming your OS is installed completely on the IDE HDD (??!!!), and the RAID Controller is for the 6 Hot-Swap HDDs, configured as a single Array, from ServeRAID Manager, you can create 6 (RAID 0) logical drives selecting 1 HDD for each logical drive. When complete, you will have completely defeated the purpose of having a RAID controller.
