I have a Nitfinity 4000R 650Mhz 100Mhz system. I can not find anything on the IBM site about CPU upgrades or and other good info on the motherboard etc. If anyone can tell me what processor I can upgrade to I would welcome the info, like can I run a 1Ghz 133Mhz CPU is the CPU a standard PIII or is it XEON so sites say XEON some claim the 4000R due to 1 Rack space is only a standard. Are there BIOS upgrades? Any links to online manuals would be helpfull.

Thank You,
Lawrence...

That is what IBM calls a Depot box. Meaning it is not meant for upgrades and even for customers to work on them. You had to send them to IBM if you had a hardware issue with them. Support does not even have any parts listing for them.

As far as the the other stuff you are looking for you could try here.
Not sure what you will find since it is a very old box.
