IBM Hard disk partision problem

I have a problem with IBM travelstar 10GB hdd. I want to use that with compaq laptop Armada 4131T. This is pentium 133 mechine. When I am doing fdisk at the drive integrity test it is giving a message "no space to create dos partision" at 24 percent. Same hdd is working in pentium II laptop. Please help me.
