Hi All,

I need to purchase eight servers for various purposes. Some will be used for our internal network and some will be publicly accessible and placed on our dmz network. Our security policy states that the internal and dmz networks must remain completely isolated from each other, and to help achieve this we have installed a Cisco 515e with 3 fastethernet ports. One is used for the inside network, one for the outside and one for the dmz.

I have been looking at the IBM eServer BladeServer as an option, but need to know if it is possible to configure the ethernet switch module, so that our security policy is met.

Is it possible to configure one of the ports on the swich module to act as a trunk for the four dmz servers and attach this to the dmz core switch, and have a similar setup with the internal servers.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Cheers.
