All-
Long story short, we built this IBM Director server running Red Hat 5.3 os... everything was fine until management wanted us to join a Windows domain.
We called IBM because we had no idea how to actually join it to the domain as it wasn't a straight forward process.
IBM told us we needed to set a variety of ldap oriented settings at the linux OS layer in order for this to work right...
Well, we finally issued the restart command via Linux and the server says it died. Won't restart due to java not liking a setting made in securityLDAP.properties file..
Anyway, we semt this error log to IBM and waiting to hear back...
Has anyone been thru this exercise needing to fill out these LDAP properties in order to join a windows domain?
could you share your war stories? I would like to know what options I have at this point, if any...
thanks very much for any insight
