I'm trying to install IBM Director Server 4.21 (upgrading from 4.12) but I'm running into a problem. Installing on a Windows 2003 Server (Standard Edition). Part way through the install an error message pops up...

****IBM_ERROR --
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\mofcomp.exe
"C:\Program
Files\IBM\Director\cimom\mof\cmtgroup.mof" returned
rc=3

...and the install stops. After some searching, all I know is that rc=3 means a syntax error (in the mof file I assume). Does anyone know what I can do to fix/get around this?

In the mofcomp log file, this is logged when the error occurs...

(Sat May 07 13:49:37 2005.72791015) : An error occurred while creating object 8 defined on lines 94 - 127:

(Sat May 07 13:49:37 2005.72791015) : 0X80041002 (Sat May 07 13:49:37 2005.72791031) : Class, instance, or property 'CIM_LogicalElement' was not found.

(Sat May 07 13:49:37 2005.72791031) : Compiler returned error 0x80041001(Sat May 07 14:10:26 2005.642625) : Parsing MOF file: ibmsd.mof

Error was happening because Server Plus Pack was missing. Ran the install without Server Pack options and install was successful.
