We have 10 IBM xseries 235's and all of them have had "fan 5 failures" showing up on the Director console ever once in a while.
IBM hardware support claims that it is a problem with Director and IBM charges $$ for their software support of Director.
Has anyone run into this problem before? The machines have had the latest Update express run on them. They are all running Windows 2000 Server and service pack 3. It does seem (if I can remember correctly) that these errors started showing up after the service pack for IBM Director 3.1 was applied.
Any thoughts on this subject would be great.
