any body know what keys to strike to get into an IBM Thinkpad 600E CMOS settings.....

Normally you're prompted to press the appropriate button during POST.
A Google search showed F1.

thanks temporello,

I posted earlier on, about my problem wit the thinkpad 600e givin some error message n I found out about F1 before I posted this thread

My problem is that because of the hardware error wit the trackpoint I don't seem to get the prompt to enter CMOS setup using F1.

My ultimate aim is to disable the trackpoint, to get rid of the message and be able to use a PS2 mouse......

any help would be good......

Press F1 while powering on, on some machines there is an option in bios to hide the "press F1 to enter bios" prompt.
You could always by a keyboard off ebay, most are less then 30 dollars. And it goes on easy.

I shall use google before asking stupid questions!
