IBM Bladeservers - Do I need to trunk the outgoing Ports?

I have 8 blades in an IBM Bladecenter with 4 gigabit ports on 1 switch module. When I look at the switch port utilization, it only shows traffic going through port 4.

The question I have is do I need to trunk the 4 ports together to get a balanced utilization on all 4 ports at one time...

We just don't know if we are forcing all 8 blades to send there traffic through a single 1gb port when I have 4 available...

Any help is appreciated..

You will need to trunk to balance the load out.

The fact it is in a blade centre is not relevant. Consider it a normal cisco switch connected to your network with 8 servers connected
