I'm wondering if anyone can provide insight into the following situation:

Occasionally the last couple of times i start the computer it hangs at the Aptiva screen and requires reboot a couple of times and others it says "enter system disk to reboot".

I have not added anything new to the computer and have done a full virus scan to ensure there is nothing in the boot sector. On another occasion when it started booting it says the memory size had changed.

thanks

you may need a current BIOS update..or your there could be something wrong with your drive, board or controller..

try checking the cables connector, pull it out and push it in and also the power cable... i had this problem many times with PC. if the problem still persist, try change the cable.... else try format the HDD... else send back to IBM.. your motherbaord might be faulty.
