Hello,

We just upgraded a RISC 600 MCA ported AIX 4.2 box with a NIC. The problem now exists that IP is working fine internally but it cannot access the router nor anything outside. Diagnostics yeilds all is well HW-wise. This
card will not communicate via AUI nor BNC connection. any help would be apreciated.

PS thinking but have not tried updating drivers for card and/or TCP/IP cheifly the card was difficult to come by have no idea where I will get the drivers.

Verify the following with ifconfig en0:
IP Address
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway

Is the adapter active?
Have you configured en0 or et0?
- There is a difference, you want en0

Is there a duplicate IP Address on the network?

Hope this helps

Looks like eno and et0 are configured. There is no duplicate in the network. Other than that it pings internally just fine.
