ibm a22m bios password or bios recovery or reset 2

hello, does anyone know how to reset the bios of an ibm thinkpad a22m laptop. i bought this computer from this guy, and he didnt give me the password to the bios.. so now i am stuck with a computer that requires a password to start up, but i dont know the password, the only thing i can do is open up the laptop, but i do not know how to do that either. any help is appreciated. thanks

i have the same problem, did you ever gat an answer? mine just died on me the other day and went into bios password.

There is a process by which you can re-set the BIOS...

I have the same problem too. I purchased one and it worked fine until I replaced the cmos battery and now it requires a password to boot. If you guys fine a way to reset the password please share the info.
