IBM 8315-42u

wanted to add a new agp card to a IBM 8315-42U Machine but seems they have disabled the agp slot at the factory? Is there any way to fix this so it can use an agp card or if not a way that a PCI card can work instead? The CMOS gives 2 options Intergrated or PCI.

How did you determine that the AGP slot is disabled?

On the IBM web site. I downloaded the papers on that MB for that machine line. It was disabled at the chipset level. So no way to enable it. Well maybe no way, a Bios update may fix it but I just went ahead an bought a ATI Radeon 256 meg pic (9280 I think ) and installed that. Seems to be about a 10,000X improvement over the onboard carp card. And the wife is happy playing WoW now.
