I am operating ArcServe 2000 .. I have an IBM 3449-355 tape changer attached with an exabyte 20g drive .. I am attaching an IBM 3581 tape changer to the server as well (daisy chaining off the 3449). Arcserve 2000 recognizes the new changer but no IBM 3580 drive. I have tried to run the device configuration wizard .. it takes the 3581 tape and ejects it and then takes the 3449 tape and gives me a scsi error. It seems like the software is not recognizing the drive in the new changer .. is there a way to manually install the drive ...
