IBM 3422-A01 status 202 error

I just purchased an IBM 3422-A01 to attach to my mainframe. Unfortunaley, when I powered it up the darn thing will not IML. The status LED is at '202'. This error call out the channel card. I get this error as the diskette drive starts to spin then dies before it accesses the head on the reader.

Could I have a problem with the power phase?? Has anuone seen this problem before??? HELP ---My boss is going to yell at someone.

Make sure all cards are seated properly, they often come loose during shipping. Check all jumpers on the channel card, an invalid jumper setting could cause this error.
