Upgraded a 300GL from Win95 (came with the system)to Win98SE, retail version. Upgrade went as expected, until the final reboot. The Win98 logo screen comes up, and after about 20 seconds, the little scrolling bar at the botton of the logo stops. Can't <Cntl><Alt><Del>. The power button does NOT even respond. I rebooted by pulling the plug, then force the 300GL into safe mode. It came up fine. It must be a hardware conflict with one of the drivers. Any suggestions on what to check.

Note:
I have not tried this, but I now understand that holding the power button for 4-6 seconds will power down the system. Will confirm.

If you can try taking the cards out all but the video card and then add each one in one at a time booting after each install, until it runs into the error. You could also look at bootlog.txt and see where it had the error.
