i recently got 2 IBM 2109-F16 switches second-hand and i don't know the passwords to administrate the switches. ive tried all the default passwords ive seen (admin/password, root/fivranne) and none of them work.
ive seen discussion about a file called password.default used on brocade switches (which the 2109 basically is a rebranded brocade switch), but i didn't know if that would work on this switch.
ive also seen talk about a password reset firmware that you can use to reset the passwords back to default. however i contacted ibm and brocade support, but because i don't have a service contract, neither would help me at all...
any suggestions?
