iao.exe application error upon startup

We have a NT server 4.0 SP6, that recently started receiving an 'iao.exe application error, access violation ' when booting up. This is a new error and I'm not sure what it is, and what the problem is. Can anyone enlighten me??

What was the last piece of software you added prior to this message coming up?

What is the NT Event Log Error ID?

The event id is 4097, I didn't see an error id. The error message in the event log is below.

The application, ..\..\..\product\bin\win32\release\ams_ii\iao.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 4/ 7/2003 @ 10:15:17.828 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 78010f34 (strncat)

I have not added anything to this server recently......

you have a corrupt iaolog.dat file. iao = Intel Alert Originator.

delete the log file and reboot the server
