I found a bunch of what are labeled as "i2050 s/w client pkg" cds. What I don't remember is whether or not these come with a license? I know when were buying BCM's at an almost alarming rate about 7 years ago the bundle would come with these packages. Anyone know? Thanks in advance.

If they are orange in colour, they are the release 3.0 versions that do not require a licensing server. You simply need the appropriate number of IP seat licenses like you would for any other Nortel IP set.

Just load it up on your PC and it should come up looking like an 1140 set. The beauty of them is that you can load it onto as many PCs you want and even copy the CD id you with. I have several here that i keep just in case.

The beauty of them is that you can load it onto as many PCs you want" Look at the licence terms. You are technically only supposed to load on as many PCs as you have purchased CDs.
