i2050 wont ring over broadband

Hi All, i2050 will ring perfectly onsite but once it connected from a broadband connection via VPN. It no longer rings. All functionality is fine, any ideas? Firewall settings perhaps?

Hi,

Most likely your firewall is blocking incomming connections.

Disable your Firewall, or open the correct ports.

Are you behind a router?? Configure your router to forward the correct ports to your machine

In some cases I had a problem with NAT on this kind of problem and when I tried to solve it, I only had one way speech. Nortel has come with i better solution for NAT and NAT traversal in the new rel 4.0 with SS.
