Running Succesion 3.0 with an ITG card.

Trying to get an i2050 softphone to work. Installed the software, rebooted, ran the configuration tool and input the ITG card address, and configured for Meridian 1, Port 4100.

When I load the softphone, I get the message "Connection Established. Reinitializing...." After about a mintue the software goes into a loop of restarting itself and giving the message again.

Is there something in the configuration tool that I might be missing? The softphone itself is never getting to the point where I can enter in the IP address and TN.

I had that problem when trying it out on a Windows 98 pc. I've found that the I2050 phone works best with 2000 / XP.

Another thing was that it did'nt work on my dialup modem connection at 56k. You should be using it over a Lan or Broadband connection.

All the best

Connection is reinitializing
Symptom:
The following message appears: “Connection Established. Reinitializing...”
Description:
This message indicates that the Software Phone has established a connection and has
sent a request to the Communications Server to resume connection. The
Communications Server is expected to reply to this request. Some Communications
Servers pass the Software Phone to different sub-components causing this message to
appear two or three times in rapid succession during a normal start up.
Potential causes:
• If the message appears briefly then this is part of a normal startup.
• If the message persists, the i2050’s Communications Server
programming may be in error.
Action:
Wait to ensure that this message is not a transient start up message. If the message
still appears ensure your Communications Server programming is correct.

Thanks for the replies. I am running the phone as a test here at my office on an XP machine over our LAN. I'll have our vendor check the programming on the card. I tested two of the softphones before we upgraded to Succession 3.0 and they worked fine. They don't seem to be working now, so it may be related to the upgrade somehow. I also have two i2004 phones on that same card that are having no problems.
