I am going to be looking at this soon (hopefully). Quick question. As this is a softphone how is the software licenced ? Do you have to buy a licence for each 'phone' that you wish to use ?

I believe so. However they can be bought without the CD. The odd thing is, that it never asks for a key and you can install of the same CD...
Let me know if you find out otherwiise.

Hi,

The only "real" license the I2050 uses is the IP license in the switch (The TN)

Officially you need to buy 1 CD per install of the I2050 softphone. But you can install from the network or something.

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

right... i2050 is licenced by the pbx. u can install as many as u want but they will always be limited by the pbx. So u just can use as many i2050 u licenced. The pbx also remember the network card.... so u will not be able to log one i2050 off and get another one online b4 u deleted the old one in the pbx system.
