i2050 Softphone version 2 - Windows 7 compatibility 1

Hello-

A user on a BCM450 installed an i2050 Softphone (Version 2) on his laptop running Windows 7. He is having an issue getting the headset to work (No sound)while other programs such as Skype have no issue. When version 3 of the i2050 is installed on the Windows 7 machine there is no headset issue. Since we don't have a licensing server, we cannot use version 3. Are there any know issues running the i2050 on a Windows 7 machine? Can we run the i2050 v2 in compatibility mode on Windows 7?

In May Nortel is due to release i2050 Version 4 for the BCM to support Windows 7. Version 3 is not supported on BCM, Version 1 and 2 are not supported by Windows 7
