I have a remote person I am working with to get the softphone software installed. I have done this many times and never had a problem before. During the installation of the software he is getting a tab that opens on his screen and at the top it says IT Network Manager (in the blue bar at the top of the window) and the error message is Unable ot open the registry, cannot set TerminalID. He is an administrator on the computer and the os is XP Pro. Any ideas to what is causing this?
As a side note has anyone installed on Vista yet?
Thanks
Greg

I have never seen this error, but a registry write error suggests that perhaps incorrect permissions are set on the registry key the the installer is trying to write to. The user will have to go into the registry, find the key, and see if the permissions are set correctly, and if not they will have to be changed (which may involve taking ownership). This is more of a Windows issue as opposed to a softphone issue, but that's all I can think of.
