I2050 locks up after install

after i install the primary i2050 software (2.0 build 228) and the upgrade (2.1 build 264) i have to restart the pc.

the first time i restart the pc and the i2050, the i2050 locks up and needs to be closed from task manager. if i restart the pc a second time after loading the i2050 the soft phone comes up.

any ideas on why the software locks up after the first pc restart?
