I have a BCM50 with a few softphones which are forwarded to an external phone number and the softphones are offline the majority of the time. This allows external sales people to receive calls when not in the office. Every time the BCM50 loses power or is restarted, the phone number that it is forwarded to still exists in both the softphone display and Element Manager, but it does not forward. I have to unforward/reforward softphone then uncheck/recheck keep alive in Element Manager. Does anyone have an idea of what we can do to prevent losing the forwarding number without having to log into each softphone every time?

I think your problem is more to do with you loosing your keep alive after a power cut, and i don`t think you can do anything about that..

Suggest you get a UPS if you power is going of that much all make sure your system is fully patched

If its not broke tweak it..

I appreciate your response. It is on a UPS, but simply rebooting the BCM loses the forwarding. Any ideas where I can get the latest patches?

you should not need to be rebooting your bcm that often for this to be a problem

You can get the patches from nortel.com but you will require an authorised login..

Otherwise ask your vendor..

If its not broke tweak it..
