I2007 SET ON BCM 50 R6 1

We upgraded a BCM 50 last night from 2.0 to 6.0. All went well for the 45 sets. The only issue the owner has a I2007 IP set from original install that he loves. It did not come up. It just keeps looking for update to firmware and never boots up. I do not know if this set is able to work on 6.0. I think someone said you need to let it load on a 5.0 first then a 6.0 if that is even possible ???

Apply latest patches for BCM50 release 6.0 in order to install up-to-date firmware files (including firmware for the i2007 phone). After the system is updated, the phone should download new firmware and then come up.

A quick explanation - an unpatched upgraded BCM50 6.0 system has i2007 firmware version 0621C7E on the disk, but the software expects 0621C7K. When the i2007 boots, the software checks the FW version and determines an update is needed, it starts the download, but cannot find the firmware file, the firmware download fails, the phone is reset - and everything starts all over again.
By patching the system, you'll install a proper set of firmware files...
