I am trying to get IP phones i2004e to work on a BCM4.0 (it has the latest patches loaded). I have DHCP turned off, Allow Registration is turned on. I have entered the BCM IP address as S1 and S2 on the i2004e phones. Customer's DHCP server is to assign IP address to phone. Even though I have set S1 and S2 to the BCM IP address the phone always tries to connect to S1 of 192.168.100.100, and I get the error "cannot connect to server". BCM is on customers network and I can connect to the BCM thru the network.

What am I missing?

When you set up the phone, make sure you set DHCP to partial, then set your S1 and S2 addresses.

And set the port at 7000. Also check your VLAN information. Set the Voice VLAN for whatever the network administrator has configure on the data switches. If you're not running a separate VLAN for voice and data you'll probably need to have it set to no. The I2004 is usually the easiest type set to get to work on the BCM.
