Morning everyone,

Have a strange issue here. Have two BCM's(with current 3.6 and patches installed) talking to each other over VPN Tunnel connection. The far end BCM(site A) has one I2004 functioning set and six digital T7316 sets and when installed had no issues dialing 4 digits back to BCM at Site B and vice versa. There was an issue at Site A where the IP set locked up. The tech rebooted the BCM and IP set. We now have re-established the tunnel between both sites, with the four digit dialing working between sites as configured upon install.

My issue is the call going out to the IP2004 set at Site A can only hear my voice from call originated at Site B. Call rings through, is able to be answered, can hear me talking but cannot respond to where I can hear them..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What type of routers are you using for the VPN?

Have you checked the ports on firewalls?

Signaling between the IP telephones and the Business Communications Manager uses Business Communications Manager port 7000. However, voice packets are exchanged using the default RTP ports 28000 through 28255 at the Business Communications Manager, and ports 51000 through 51200 at the IP telephones. If these ports are blocked by the firewall or NAT, you will experience one-way or no-way speech paths.

Actually the VPN is happenning via DSL router on the 400 end. I am a bit raw on the data side so you will need to excuse me. We had this working properly prior to reboot on the far end. Is it possible some of these ports went back to default??
