I have 2 i2004 phones that I need to set up. I have installed the keycodes for the 2 seats but I have never worked with IP phones before. The phones tell me they cannot connect to the server. Should these phones be going through a router or can they be connected directly to the BCM50? DHCP is set for automatic. Any hints for set up?

if you have a bcm 50 with a built in router then no.(bcm50e) If you have a regular 50 then get a router and point the s1 and s2 of ip phone at the bcm ip address. You will have to give the bcm an adress off your network. Dont be confussed with the element manager ip address.
