i2004 Ring Volume

Is there a way to fix the ring volume so that it remains at the same level on an i2004? For example every time the power or network connection between i2004 and BCM drops the i2004 reverts to the lowest ring volume. System is 3.6 with al current patches.
PS I think the same is true for voice volume but have not verified this yet

Emsure that the system general setting is "Use Set Volume

If I recall correctly, this was listed in a Nortel document that this is how it was supposed to work. It was under an FAQ section asking just what you are asking about and the response was that it was engineered this way and that they had no plans to fix it.
