I am wanting to upgrade the firmware on my I2004 series phones. We are using 0604DAX from 2007. From Nortel's site all the releases of the firmware do not list CS1K 3.0 as supported. Does anyone have any experience loading newer firmware with the old Succession 3.0? I was thinking about trying it but of course don't want to break anything. I have a test I2004 here I could push the firmware to. Thoughts?

If you are using Element Manager on the Signaling Server you can goto the firmware section and download the latest currency file from Nortel if your laptop you are administrating from has access to the internet. The currency file will give you the highest firmware listed that you can use. Then select the firmware Nortel suggests and download it to your Sig Server. I suggest this process highly. Do not use a firmware for a phone that is not allowed through the currency file suggestions. Be patient with the process as it can take a little while.
