I2004 Firmware Update

does anyone know how to manually update the IP Firmware of I2004 and I2002 with the new .bin files, the tftptool uses .rom files but what you download now off nortel are .bin if you rename the .bin files to .rom the ip phone freezes and you have to power cycle it, oh and the IP phone.

f/w upgrades are done via patches or the umsUpgradeAll command if your BCM is networked to a CS1k.

I Know That, i want to update the phones without upgrading/updating any BCM's, also the latest firmware 0604DCD isn't in the april update the firmware released in the april update was released last september.

I find BCMs are slow to get the latest f/w patch unlike the PBXs. I think ur going to have to wait for Nortel to create a s/w patch that as the latest f/w embedded.
