i2004 bridge with laptop?

I am curious to know if anyone has ever bridged their laptop with an i2004 phone to allow the phone to connect to your work network.

I use a VPN solution like most when connecting my laptop to work from home. I have the 2050 softphone on my laptop and that works
fine when I VPN into work, however, I'd like to see if it is possible to get an i2004 to use this connection to see if it will work also.

I think it would work if you had a VPN gateway or some way to attach the i2004 onto VPN connectivity. Or this can possibly be done with virtual office, but I have not used that so not sure of the features.

I know there are other ways, I'm really looking to see if anyone's bridged the phone to the laptop's connection. Not sure if it's even possible.
