I know that this has been answered before but I have done a search and not found anthing.
I am looking to be a cheep skate and put some of out i2004 phones into homes using broadband. I know qulaity is an issue but I have to do it so we have empirical proof of quality. I also know we could go with 9110/9115 but that would be the next stage of this process. Now to the question.
q. What ports will I need to open on the firewall to allow the phone to speak to the switch.
I will be handling the VPN authentication by hanging the phone off the PC that has the VPN client running. A real heath robinson solution but fun to try. You can see that the holiday season is starting.
