I have a three part firwall. I have 6 servers in the DMZ. The BACKUP SERVER IS ON THE INSIDE OF THE FIRWALL. I would like to backup my servers in the DMZ. I do not wont the open up all the ports that are required, I try that and it worked, but it would not backup system state. stated that I did not have administrator right to do so. which is wrong. It backup all the stuff except the system state on all servers. Is there another method to do this other then opening up all the ports. can someone help. I would like the maintain the security backing up the servers in the dmz.
Backup exec 8.6 rev 3878

Thank you

Im assuming the server in the DMZ is in a workgroup or not part of your domain. Create a local user on the DMZ sever with the same name as the backup exec service account and password. This should allow pass thru authenication.
Also enable restrict anonymous support. If the server in the DMZ is part of the domain, add the backup exec service account to the local admin group.
