I would appreciate any help and recommendation to solve the following problem in our Client/Server applications:

I have developed the application using vb6 as a front end and Sql Server 7 back-end running in Window NT server 4


our programs communicate sql server via the ODBC driver in TCP/IP communication at the client side . At the begining our pogramme is working fine after two or three minitues that there will be network communication error ..

We've sometime had problems connecting to our databases but it is usualy caused by the WINS Server getting confused. We've since started puttin ght ip addresses of the server in the pc's hosts fie and connect to the database using the ip address.
