My issue with the setup below is that I can't get the workstations on the .1.x subnet to access email on the 66.105.183.68 emailserver using the same IP for POP3/SMTP account. The second issue I have is that I can't serve SSL pages on the webserver but I can server HTTP pages. I am running IIS v5.0 on the webserver and it is setup for port 443 on SSL field. When I remove the fvs114 router and set the webservers IP to 183.67 it works fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is my setup:

Silly question but what are your workstations gateway addresses?

Also have you checked to see if ssl is blocked on a firewall?

Thanks for the reply.

The gateways for both servers are the same; 66.105.183.65.

Both fvs114 boxes have port 443 always open.

I meant for the private IP addresses.

Why have you put those down for your gateway addresses for the clients? By rights your clients should be using the 192.168.1.17 and 192.168.11.17 addresses as their gateways (they need to know that the exit out from their network is their server NIC) and the private IP's on the server should go out via the public nic's.

What happens if you try doing a ping or pathping from a workstation to a public address?

192.168.1.17 is his server's IP, why would he use that as his gateway?

Thanks SimmonD,

The IP's of the servers NIC's are 11.17 and 1.17. The routers have their Lan settings as:

192.168.11.17
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1

The Wan settings for the router that is connected to this servers are:

66.105.183.67
255.255.255.0
66.105.183.65

Because looking at the config above looked like his servers have both a private and public IP assigned to them, I don't see where his gateways sit in the whole environment but if I was using a multihomed server I would be using the ip addresses of the nic's in my server as the gateways out (internal nic to be the gateway for the internal network, external nics to be the gateway for the internal nic's on the server.
