I was given this (i'm trying to setup a VPN) I cant find the "tunnel server" option on an ascend router ISDN P85

You opened TCP port 1723 which is correct. But you also need to forward IP protocol 47. Note this is NOT a TCP/UDP port but is GRE. For the Asend router, in the NAT menu, look for a parameter called "tunnel server". This is specifically for GRE 47. Set the tunnel server to the IP of your server.

I can't seem to find this option on the router, the only things listed under Nat are:
Routing=yes
Profile=smartcom
FrAddress=192.168.1.100 (which is the server addr)
Lan=Single Ip Addr
...Static mappings
Def Server=192.168.1.100 (was off before, but I changed it to the nt server after i read the post)
Reuselastaddr=no
resue addr timeout=N/A
That was all I could find, I looked all over the router too, but did not find the "tunnel server"

I believe I was the one who wrote that statement you mention. Tunnel server feature was introduced in software version 7.3.2. If you do not see that feature then upgrade to 7.3.2 or higher. Pipeline software can be found at ftp://ftp.ascend.com/pub/Software-Releases/Pipeline/. Upgrade instructions can be found in the release notes located in the doc folders.
