I want to save AutoCAD drawing in oracle database. In this regard i
designed a form in Developer 2000 forms 6. But unfortunately image item
of Form s 6.0 doesn't recognise .dwg format.

Pl. help me to solve this problem.

Thank You.

This is not my area of expertise, but I found some references on Oracle's Metalink that may help you. Please log in to Metalink and do a search on "autocad". Documents 84402.998 and 1035413.6 look helpful. I gather that the key idea is to insert the Autocad object into an OLE container, rather than an image.

here is an other way that, if you are familiar with oracle stored procedures and DBMS_BLOB packages , then you cna store in oracle Database as binary images regardless of format. you can use BLOB(binat loarge objects) datatypes .

See the Oracle documentations in this regard.

see if it helps or not.
